Astrea 42, design and construction:
Although the new Astrea 42 is
only two feet longer than its slightly smaller predecessor, the Lucia 40,
the designers were able to make some significant improvements, including
more spacious seats, more interior volume and improved toilet layout, as
well as larger panoramic windows to make the interior as bright and
comfortable as possible. They also modified the hull so that the front
part, i.e. the bow, is inverted, which is a feature found only on racing
catamarans. The metal parts on the deck are mainly aluminium and stainless
steel.
Astrea 42, rewards:

"Multi
of the Year 2018" by the French Magazines "Le Monde du Multicoque” and
“Voile Magazine".
- Astréa 42 has also
won "The European Yacht of the Year 2019" award, by the jury of twelve journalists representing the most influential european Magazines, at the Boot Düsseldorf,
Germany.

Deck layout: The deck layout is optimized for maximum functionality and comfort. At the stern there is a bathing platform with a traditional davit for the dinghy. Two steps further on is the cockpit, which contains a table with comfortable seats that can seat 6 to 8 people.
The forward deck offers a U-shaped bow cockpit with comfortable seating for four people. A trampoline is also available for those who just want to lie in the sun or watch the waves between the hulls. The raised steering station is located to starboard and can be reached from the deck or via the cockpit stairs.
Accommodation: The catamaran Astrea 42 is available in two versions: Maestro (owner - three cabins) and Quatuor (four cabins). The three-cabin version has a main cabin that occupies the entire right hull. In the left hull there are two cabins with two separate toilets with showers. If you have a larger family, the Quatuor version with four cabins (i.e. the version with two cabins in each hull) is more suitable for charter.
Salon: The saloon is luxuriously equipped and forms a whole with the cockpit by opening the sliding glass doors. The lounge has a table and a comfortable L-shaped sofa as well as a kitchen and a navigation area. There is a sliding window on the windscreen which can serve as an excellent ventilation system for the saloon, but it can also be used to serve food and drink to passengers who want to relax in the bow cockpit.
